FCTG’s new NDC now live in market for Independent agents

Majority-owned by Flight Centre Travel Group, TPConnects now offer agents and other users a platform for airline content distribution from multiple sources – for instance, “traditional filed content, NDC-led, or low-cost carrier content”, according to FCTG Independent.

Among the solution’s features are a “state-of-the-art online booking engine, travel content aggregation, and efficient management of various travel-related services”.

The group says TPConnects won’t just broaden customer options but lead to greater client satisfaction and loyalty, and with its streamlined booking processes, also save agents time and money.

“On April 17, TPConnects embarked on a trial period with a select group of agents, which was subsequently expanded on May 8 to include a greater number of participants,” FCTG Independent Operations Improvement Manager Mark Horwood said.

“TPConnects’ platform boasts a user-friendly interface that seamlessly guides travel professionals through their daily operations.

“Its intuitive layout, streamlined workflows, and diverse range of tools enable agencies to achieve exceptional efficiencies, making it an industry-leading and functionally robust platform.”

Casting a wider net

By connecting to a broader network of airlines and travel suppliers, FCTG Independent says agents will be able to increase revenue streams, tap into new markets and customer segments, and ultimately generate more sales.

“As FCTG continues to prioritize innovation, our increased investment in TPConnects stands as a testament to that commitment,” FCTG Independent Global Director of Operations Astrid Richardson said.

“By leveraging advanced technology solutions, we are equipping our independent travel entrepreneurs with the tools they need to thrive in a dynamic marketplace, ensuring unparalleled customer experiences and fueling business growth.”

Earlier this year, FCTG Independent’s digital solution for solo travel entrepreneurs reached a major milestone, with 1,000 active agents on its platform.

Flight Centre Travel Group also announced a major deal with Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) that aims to boost cruise industry know-how and “significantly” grow business across the group. The agreement gives the entire FCTG consultant and independent leisure network in Australia and New Zealand access to CLIA’s cruise industry training and subsequently allow their consumers to book cruise holidays with Flight Centre consultants with greater confidence.
