IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG) and SRG Holding have opened the third Staybridge Suites hotel in the UAE in the heart of Dubai, on the picturesque Sheikh Zayed Road.
This 48-storey tower sets a familiar and eye-catching feature to Dubai’s iconic skyline and is located opposite the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), a few steps away from the metro station.
The property is surrounded by variety of leisure, dining, shopping and entertainment destinations like City Walk, Coca Cola Arena, La Mer and Dubai Downtown, which includes the city’s most Instagram-able and popular landmarks such as The Dubai Mall, Dubai Fountains and Burj Khalifa.
Staybridge Suites Dubai Financial Center is designed to meet the needs of extended-stay travelers looking for a break from the travel norm, said a statement. When travelling for days, weeks or months at a time, guests want something more than the standard hotel experience and Staybridge Suites offers additional space, home-like comforts and public areas that facilitate a real sense of community.
Each of the 360 studios, 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom suites comes equipped with a fully fitted kitchen and living space including top-of-the-line Siemens and Smeg appliances, smart TVs and your very own washer/dryer. Guests will even find all the cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery you’ll need to make them feel right at home.
Many of the 360 apartments feature their own balcony from which to enjoy spectacular views of the city or the sea. Several interconnecting units offer greater flexibility for families or small groups traveling together, it said.
Guests can also expect the unique brand hallmarks of Staybridge Suites such as the complimentary breakfast buffet with takeaway options, coffee/tea station and a 24-hour pantry, a 24/7 convenience store for guests to grab any missing household essentials or a snack, beverage, or light meal. There is also The Social, the brand’s signature event hosted three times a week, aimed to create an informal gathering for guests to relax and enjoy complimentary bites and drinks while engaging with other guests staying at the hotel. There is also a 25-m pool, a well-equipped gym, a boutique spa, a cozy den, and an in-house eatery offering in-room deliveries, said the statement.
Renowned globally since 1997, Staybridge Suites is IHG’s upper-upscale extended stay hotel brand that offers an elevated, residential-style experience designed for business and leisure travelers looking to break from the travel norm while on the road, be it for days or even months at a time.
“We are absolutely delighted to partner with one of the world’s leading hotel companies, IHG Hotels & Resorts, to open our second Staybridge Suites in Dubai,” said Fahad AlRafi, CEO of SRG Holding Limited, owning and operating company of the two Staybridge Suites properties.
AlRafi added: “As an established family-owned developer, owner and property manager in Dubai, we have seen a shift in demand in recent years from the traditional hotel and accommodation options, not only from visitors and new-comers to the city, but also from many existing residents who are now looking for more flexible, hassle-free accommodation options where they can also feel part of a community. Therefore, we believe that the economic, social, and demographic trends are all in favor of the Staybridge Suites concept, which we look forward to showcasing in Dubai, with two unique and primely-located Staybridge Suites properties.”
IHG Way of Clean
As part of the IHG family, Staybridge Suites Dubai Financial Center will comply with IHG’s Way of Clean industry-leading standards, including the new IHG Clean Promise. IHG’s global Clean Promise was announced in May as part of an overhaul of IHG Way of Clean to introduce heightened cleanliness standards to protect guests in the wake of Covid. Using new, science-led protocols and service measures, partnering with industry leading experts Cleveland Clinic, Ecolab and Diversey, and launching a global IHG Clean Promise, these strengthened measures will give guests greater confidence and hotel teams the protection needed.
