Hilton is celebrating a historic moment with the exciting announcement of its 100th trading or pipeline hotel in Turkey. In an agreement signed with Çalık Holding A.S., Canopy by Hilton Istanbul Taksim is expected to open in 2023 and will not only achieve a century of hotels either already operating or under development in Türkiye, but also signal the debut of the Canopy boutique lifestyle brand in the country.
This will be the company’s firs property under its lifestyle Canopy brand in Turkey. The 110-room hotel will form part of the Taksim 360 urban renewal development located next to the city’s Taksim Square, which will also include housing, offices and shopping zones.
Tugrul Temel, managing director, development, Turkey, Hilton said, “I’m delighted and proud to announce this special milestone for Hilton which sees us reach 100 hotels in Turkey. Canopy by Hilton Istanbul Taksim will bring great energy to a dynamic area of Istanbul and is an exciting way for us to mark this moment.”
Canopy by Hilton Istanbul Taksim is scheduled to open next year, and its 110 guest rooms will be enriched with one-of-a-kind design features that will give the hotel distinct personality and charm.
A meeting room and a boardroom cater for business travelers, while three F&B outlets, a destination bar and a Canopy Central concept – which acts as the hub of the hotel – tick the box for guests on holiday. A warm welcome will come from the property’s knowledgeable Canopy Enthusiasts who can provide local insight on culturally stimulating things to do in the neighborhood.
There are currently around 35 Canopy hotels open worldwide, with another 26 properties under development. The brand’s most recently launched a new hotel in Cannes.
