Akasa Air adopts Digi Yatra’s facial recognition

Akasa Air officially announced the adoption of DigiYatra’s facial recognition system at nine major airports across the country. These airports include Bengaluru, New Delhi, Varanasi, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Guwahati, Kolkata, and Pune.

DigiYatra is a fully biometric-based self-boarding solution. The system ensures a hassle-free experience, allowing travelers to register their ID and biometric data, along with flight details, on the user-friendly DigiYatra app before entering the terminal.

While the passengers navigate through the airport, this state-of-the-art biometric technology authenticates and verifies their identities, offering the highest levels of safety and security.

DigiYatra has been integrated into Akasa Air’s operations to streamline and simplify the travel process for passengers.  DigiYatra is available for Akasa Air customers at following airports:

Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru

Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi

Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport, Varanasi

Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad

Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport, Lucknow

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, Ahmedabad

Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, GuwahatiNetaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport, Kolkata Pune International Airport, Pune

Akasa Air, which was launched in August 2022, is currently serving over 7.75 million passengers and connecting with 21 cities, including major hubs in India and international destinations like Doha, Qatar.
