The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) has issued the updated list of ‘Green List’ destinations, as it readies itself for the summer months. Passengers arriving from these destinations will be exempt from mandatory quarantine measures after landing in Abu Dhabi and will only be required to undergo PCR testing upon arrival at Abu Dhabi Airport.

Countries included in the ‘Green List’ are: Australia , Austria, Azerbaijan, Bhutan, Brunei, China, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Greenland, Hong Kong (SAR), Iceland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Malta, Mauritius, Moldova, Morocco, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Province of China, United States of America and Uzbekistan.

The list only applies to countries, the passengers are arriving from rather than citizenship.

The emirate also announced its plans to resume receiving cruise liners from September 1. Noura Rashed Al Dhaheri, Managing Director – Cruise Business, Abu Dhabi Ports, said, “We are well prepared to receive and welcome vaccinated visitors to the UAE’s capital once again and are excited to see the resumption of cruise activities at both Zayed Port and Sir Bani Yas Island.”

“In line with Abu Dhabi’s health protocols for international arrivals, Abu Dhabi Ports is initiating various health and safety measures to protect passengers and crew, which includes daily sterilisation activities across the terminal, the requirement of PCR testing before embarkation, as well as the implementation of a comprehensive emergency response plan for handling positive cases within the terminal.”

The emirate is currently running its Summer #inAbudhabi campaign to meet the high demand for domestic activities and ‘staycations’. The campaign promotes Abu Dhabi as the ideal, all-inclusive travel destination by highlighting its world-class accommodation choices to suit all budgets, complemented by unmatched hospitality and a vast range of entertainment and leisure experiences.

From city-wide sales to fun interactive activities at the Children’s Museum at Louvre Abu Dhabi and Culinary Abu Dhabi’s ‘Summer of Ice Cream’ –  there is something for everyone in Abu Dhabi this summer.

Summer #inAbuDhabi will also feature a wide range of enticing deals that can be redeemed in hotels, malls and attractions across Abu Dhabi city, Al Ain and the Al Dhafra region.
