ITB China travel show opens in Shanghai

ITB China opened doors to welcome the global travel industry for face-to-face encounters and meaningful business connections, after a after a three-year break.

The show, which will run till September 14 in Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center, is the leading B2B exclusive travel trade show focusing on the Chinese travel market, bringing together hand-selected top-buyers with industry professionals from all over the world.

Renowned industry personalities came together to formally open the fourth edition of ITB China. They marked the occasion with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting, and Lion Dance performance, which was then followed by an insightful guided tour of the exhibition. 

The show provides various networking events and a unique state-of-the-art matchmaking system to maximize business opportunities. The ITB China Conference takes place in parallel with the show and is co-organized by the leading conference organizer TravelDaily.

More than 70 speakers representing prominent travel organisations and influential figures in the Chinese market are poised for another stellar line-up of keynotes and panel discussions covering 30 cutting-edge topics at the ITB China Conference. 

 One day before the show, ITB China hosted a powerful CEO Seminar featuring top executives from China’s travel industry with insightful discussions on “The Impact of Global Relations and the Economic Situation on China’s Inbound and Outbound Tourism Market”.  

An official Opening Dinner was also hosted at the Shangri-La Hotel Pudong on the evening before the show, marking the beginning of an extraordinary three-day event. The exclusive dinner was co-hosted by Partner Destination Saudi Arabia and welcomed 450 distinguished guests from both China and the global travel industry.
