Hilton expands resorts portfolio with new hotels in Mediterranean destinations

Hilton continues its rapid expansion in Europe’s resorts market with four new franchise agreements that strengthen its Mediterranean portfolio. The newly signed resorts in Greece, Portugal, and Croatia will introduce unique experiences under the Hilton Hotels & Resorts, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, and Curio Collection by Hilton brands. Hilton Mykonos Beach Resort & Spa and Sound of the Sea Karpathos, Tapestry Collection by Hilton in Greece; Casa de Sada Algarve, Curio Collection by Hilton in Portugal; and Hotel Preko Ugljan, Curio Collection by Hilton in Croatia, are set to open over the next two years.

These new properties highlight Hilton’s ongoing commitment to providing exceptional resort experiences in Europe’s most sought-after travel destinations and join more than 100 resorts either operating or in development across the Europe, Middle East and Africa region under nine brands. This expansion aligns with Hilton’s strategy to enhance its resorts globally, which has doubled over the past five years and now includes more than 350 properties around the world.

Alan Mantin, vice president, development, Southern Europe, Hilton, said, “Alongside our hotel owners, we’re thrilled to be bringing these four outstanding resort properties to Greece, Portugal and Croatia. Demand for high-quality resort accommodations continues to soar globally, with Europe’s iconic Mediterranean locations high on the list for our more than 200 million Hilton Honors members.  As we come towards the end of a bumper year of resort openings for Hilton in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, we look forward to further enhancing our range of resort properties in 2025 and beyond.”

According to Hilton’s 2025 Trends Report, many travellers are looking for destinations that balance relaxation with immersive, culturally enriching experiences to maximise their time away. Hilton’s new Mediterranean properties respond to this demand.

Nicole Tilzer, vice president, All-Inclusive & Resort Strategy, Hilton, said, “The latest signings in prime European locales showcase our dedication to growing our resort portfolio in premiere and emerging leisure destinations. These resorts blend serene coastal retreats with authentic, destination-inspired offerings, all paired with Hilton’s signature hospitality. Each resort will invite guests to unwind in beautiful surroundings and enjoy a range of amenities such as pools, spas, fitness centres and locally inspired dining, while also providing opportunities to immerse themselves in the local culture.”
