Accor enters Chandigarh in India, with new Novotel property

Novotel Chandigarh Tribune Chowk, the 21st hotel to Accor’s Novotel brand portfolio in India, has opened its doors to guests. Novotel has shown a prodigious graph of growth in India in just over a decade, and the launch of Novotel in a new market like Chandigarh is a significant addition to Accor’s well-rounded portfolio.

Speaking on the occasion, Puneet Dhawan, Senior Vice President of Operations – India & South Asia, Accor said “India presents substantial opportunities to grow our midscale brands. We believe that Novotel will be an ideal brand for the Chandigarh market as it caters to both corporate and leisure travelers. Novotel Chandigarh Tribune Chowk offers modern easy living with 120 contemporary rooms, an outdoor plunge pool, a modern gymnasium and multiple meeting and wedding venues of different sizes spread across 8,100 sq. ft. pillarless space. The hotel offers two food and beverage outlets, with indoor and alfresco seating; Food Exchange, the contemporary all-day dining and Curves a modern, upbeat lounge bar.

The property opens with accreditation of the ALLSAFE label, which has been developed alongside and vetted by Bureau Veritas, a world leader in testing, inspections, and certification. The ALLSAFE program is based on a range of guiding principles and commitments and consists of over 200 standard operating procedures, keeping cleanliness and safety at the centre of all policies.
