Visit Bahrain launches tourism campaigns in seven European cities

Visit Bahrain, the leading destination management company of the Kingdom, has recently initiated a dynamic series of promotional meetings across seven prominent European cities to attract an increased number of visitors.

They also serve to encourage visitors to partake in a well-rounded tourism program and support the ambitious goals outlined in Bahrain’s Tourism Strategy 2022-2026.

The meticulously planned promotional meetings were successfully held in Vienna, Zurich, Switzerland’s largest city, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Munich, and Cologne in Germany. The coordination for these events involved collaboration with several leading regional and international travel and tourism offices that operate within the European continent.

The company’s adept team showcased the exquisite tourist attractions in Bahrain, with a particular focus on its rich heritage sites. Notable destinations highlighted during the promotional meetings included the captivating old Manama market, the historical Arad and Muharraq Forts, as well as the esteemed Bahrain National Museum, among others. Furthermore, the team diligently provided insights into the diverse array of cultural centres, captivating events, vibrant entertainment options, thrilling sports activities, and exhilarating water-based experiences. These presentations were complemented by comprehensive media materials, encompassing captivating photographs and more.

Additionally, the team ensured that visitors and tourists were well-informed about the exceptional facilities provided by the Kingdom of Bahrain. This encompassed information regarding accommodations, amenities, and services catering to individuals, families, and diverse preferences. Moreover, the team provided comprehensive guidance on various transportation options to reach the Kingdom, including seamless access through the international airport, convenient port facilities, and the enticing possibility of indulging in captivating cruise ship trips.

Ali Amralla, CEO of Visit Bahrain, emphasized the significance of capturing the attention of prospective tourists and visitors from emerging markets, primarily major European cities. The aim is to offer attractive tourist packages that offer competitive advantages. These packages encompass a wide range of offerings, such as top-notch accommodations, seamless transportation services, access to captivating events, and a host of other appealing amenities.

Amralla said: “Our efforts revolve around providing comprehensive packages that incorporate “Visit Bahrain’s” exceptional accommodation and entertainment offerings. However, we are equally dedicated to promoting the Bahraini tourism sector as a whole. We understand that the activity and expenditures of tourists visiting the Kingdom encompass a wide range of facilities, such as flights, restaurants, transportation companies, and numerous other services.”

According to Amralla, the expansion of Visit Bahrain in European cities is aligned with the ongoing execution of agreements made between the company and various tourism and travel agents globally. These agreements aim to attract 28,000 European tourists to Bahrain from countries such as Germany, Britain, and Russia, along with other European nationalities.

This influx of tourists is expected to occur between September 2023 and March 2024. It is worth mentioning that the company initiated a program last January to draw 4,500 German tourists to Bahrain throughout 2023, with approximately 2,500 already having visited Bahrain in separate groups over the past few months.

Amralla clarified that these endeavors form part of an ongoing program implemented by the company, specifically targeting tourists from different countries worldwide, with a particular focus on Europe. These efforts contribute to the vital role played by private tourism sector establishments in revitalizing the sector and strengthening Bahrain’s position as a favored regional tourist destination.
