Gulf Air and Boeing met at the 77th IATA (International Air Transport Association) annual general meeting which was held in Boston, Massachusetts, recently to discuss the challenges that the industry had to overcome during Covid-19 and the possibilities of new opportunities between them.
The meeting took place between Bahrain’s Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism and Chairman of Gulf Air Zayed R. Alzayani, and Boeing President and CEO Stanley A. Deal.
“The national carrier of Bahrain refers to the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner as its flagship aircraft,” said Alzayani after the meeting.
“The new fleet strategy that Gulf Air is currently executing has proved highly successful for our network and passenger experience with the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner serving our most important routes along with being a major contributor to our cargo operations.”
Also attending the meeting were Gulf Air acting CEO Captain Waleed Abdulhameed AlAlawi, Commercial Sales and Marketing Senior Vice President Ihssane Mounir, and Boeing Vice President, Commercial Sales and Marketing, Middle East & Africa, Omar Arekat.
