JAL expands cargo network with new routes and frequencies for summer FY2025

Japan Airlines (JAL) has unveiled its international cargo freighter schedule for the fiscal year 2025, marking a significant expansion in its operations. With the addition of a third Boeing 767 freighter, JAL aims to enhance its capacity and cater to growing customer demand across key regions. Notable changes include new routes, increased flight frequencies, and additional round-trip services to bolster its extensive network.

Starting March 30, 2025, JAL will launch a new cargo service to Hanoi, tapping into the city’s booming high-tech industries. This route marks the airline’s first Southeast Asian freighter service since resuming operations. In addition, JAL will ramp up its frequencies to major markets, with flights to Hong Kong increasing to six per week and Shanghai receiving three additional weekly flights. Furthermore, a new round-trip route between Narita and Taipei (Taoyuan) will be introduced, offering five flights per week.

The new summer schedule, running from March 30 to October 25, 2025, reflects JAL’s commitment to meeting the diverse logistics needs of its customers, from pharmaceuticals to fresh produce and chemicals. By expanding its freighter network and integrating passenger flight bellies, JAL continues to provide a flexible, reliable air transport infrastructure that supports business growth and sustainability.

JAL’s dedication to adapting its services to the evolving needs of the global supply chain is evident in this expanded offering, which will also include bi-weekly and weekly flights to key markets.
