Rosewood Hotels & Resorts in July plans to open the Rosewood Vienna, its first hotel in Austria. Located within Vienna’s Old Town district, the Rosewood Vienna will occupy a 19th century building and have 126 rooms and suites. Accommodations will feature a mix of modern and historic design elements in a neutral color palette.
The property’s highest-end accommodation will be its 1,800-square-foot Presidential Suite, comprising a bedroom, separate living room, kitchen, entertainment area and an eight-person dining room.
“I am very pleased to open a unique luxury hotel like Rosewood Vienna in one of the most beautiful and historic cities in Europe,” says Alexander Lahmer, managing director of Rosewood Vienna. He adds: “Rosewood Vienna is a tribute to the Viennese way of life and will become the centre of Vienna’s vibrant scene, where culture, culinary delights and cosmopolitanism meet.”
The Rosewood Vienna will be home to several restaurants and bars, with details to be revealed at a later date. There will be a private dining room, a rooftop bar and an upscale brasserie with outdoor terrace and garden areas.
Other highlights include an outpost of Rosewood’s Sense spa, which will feature a hydrotherapy relaxation room. With unparalleled views over Vienna, it offers five treatment rooms, a “social suite” as well as a selection of treatments and therapies. The spa area also offers a fitness centre with state-of-the-art equipment and personal trainer.
A meetings and events venue will offer three lounges and capacity for up to 120 people. The Rosewood Vienna will be the brand’s fifth European hotel, joining the Rosewood London, Tuscany’s Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco, the Hôtel de Crillon in Paris and the Rosewood Villa Magna in Madrid.
