Marriott Hotel and Marriott Executive Apartments, Al Jaddaf roll out new tech upgrades

Marriott Hotel and Marriott Executive Apartments, Al Jaddaf have rolled out a series of new and improved technology systems intended to elevate the guest journey through new TV systems, smoother and better security, and more.

The recent upgrades include the introduction of RFID keycards across both properties, as well as switching the hotel’s existing TV systems over to IPTV. Following the hotel’s recent repositioning, and in line with the wider hotel group’s focus on investing in guest-facing technologies, its executive team continues to seek out and implement innovative services and products that enhance the guest experience across all touchpoints.

Both Marriott Hotel and Marriott Executive Apartments, Al Jaddaf have now upgraded their previous magnetic strip key card system to RFID keycards that use radio frequency to ‘tap and access’. The new keycard system will create a smoother guest experience during both check-in and when accessing rooms, while also easing operational workflows, allowing front office associates to spend more time engaging with guests.

The new RFID system also offers enhanced security through built-in encryption. With the new RFID locks being equipped with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) functionality, Marriott Bonvoy members can now also enjoy an even more seamless guest journey while using the Marriott Mobile Key, a key card-less functionality built into the Marriott Bonvoy mobile app.

Meanwhile, Marriott Hotel, Al Jaddaf has already begun the process of equipping its 351 rooms and suites with a new IPTV system. The new system includes a new user-friendly user interface as well as Chromecast, which allows guests to cast content from streaming platforms such as Netflix and Amazon Prime directly to their room’s TV.

“The guest experience remains our biggest focus at Marriott Hotel and Marriott Executive Apartments, Al Jaddaf. In order to stay relevant to our well-traveled, discerning guests it’s vital that we adopt innovative technologies that will enhance the guest journey. Whether our guest is staying with their family for a leisure trip to Dubai, or is visiting the city on a business trip, I want to ensure they enjoy a comfortable, hassle-free and connected stay with us,” said Saad Al-Ghamdi, multi-property general manager for the Marriott Al Jaddaf cluster.
