IHG’s Vignette Collection makes Vietnam debut in Hoi An

The growth of IHG Hotels & Resorts in Vietnam continues with the introduction of its Vignette Collection brand to the country through an agreement with new partner Hoi An Pearl Joint Stock Company.

Moire Hoi An, Vignette Collection will join IHG’s fast-growing Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio – the second largest in the world – under the Vignette Collection brand, following an extensive refurbishment and conversion from the existing Bay Resort Hoi An.

The property will offer heritage preservation, contemporary elegance and immersive exploration in the heart of Hoi An and on the banks of the Hoai River, a popular central coast hotspot renowned for its rich history and cultural tapestry.

Moire Hoi An, Vignette Collection will feature 128 guest rooms, including pool villas and suites. Its stay experience will be inspired by the word ‘Moire’, meaning a ripple or waved pattern and its design will evoke a feeling of fluidity, movement, and texture with a sophisticated retro finish.

Chris Anklin, Senior Director, Development, IHG Hotels & Resorts said: “Tourism is picking up at a rapid rate in Hoi An, with 4.3 million visitors expected this year – a 10 percent rise from 2023. We’re looking forward to welcoming guests to Moire Hoi An, Vignette Collection, which is located within a UNESCO Heritage Site, from where they can experience the architectural marvel of the ancient town’s cobblestone streets, well preserved wooden structures and shophouses.

“We’re excited to work with Hoi An Pearl Joint Stock Company for the first time as we bring our collective vision for this wonderful property to life. This is a quick conversion that reflects the attractiveness of our Vignette Collection brand, and the value of IHG’s strong in-market teams and global enterprise.”

Vignette Collection stands apart in IHG Hotels & Resorts’ luxury & lifestyle portfolio. It presents a compelling way for IHG to welcome one-of-a-kind hotels into our family, combining each property’s individual identity with the brand’s promise of ‘A Means For Good’, powered by IHG’s global scale and IHG One Rewards loyalty programme. Each hotel has a distinct outlook and story to tell but they come together as Vignette Collection.

Huong Nguyen, CEO, Hoi An Pearl Joint Stock Company said: “IHG has built a reputation for creating outstanding destination hotels and resorts in Vietnam across its world-class portfolio of brands. We are confident it will deliver success for our property in Hoi An, where we want to provide a unique sanctuary for guests which blends the nostalgic charm of the city’s storied past with contemporary luxury.

“As part of the Vignette Collection brand family – where every property has its own distinctive story to tell – Moire Hoi An will offer guests immersive and personalised experiences to inspire them to stay longer and discover everything this beautiful town has to offer.”

Located on Xuyen Trung Block, Cam Nam Ward, Hoi An City, Moire Hoi An, Vignette Collection is a five minute walk to the ancient town and a 30-minute drive from Danang International Airport.

Facilities include two restaurants and a bar that celebrate authentic local cuisine and flavours, a swimming pool, fitness centre and boutique spa, and meeting facilities in a unique living room café concept. Guests will be offered a diverse and engaging range of activities and guided tours to allow them to discover the wonders of the ancient town, perfectly suited to lifestyle travellers and families.

Moire Hoi An, Vignette Collection joins a 12-strong global Vignette Collection portfolio that includes Convent Square Lisbon and Casa da Companhia in Porto, Portugal, Yours Truly DC in the U.S., Hotel X Brisbane Fortitude Valley in Australia, Dinso Resort & Villas Phuket in Thailand and Th8 Palm Dubai Beach Resort. With 23 hotels in the pipeline, the brand is on track to reach 100 hotels by 2031.

Moire Hoi An, Vignette Collection adds to IHG’s rapidly growing portfolio in Vietnam which will more than double from 18 to around 44 hotels* within the next three years as it continues to grow across all market segments and welcome travellers to destinations including Ha Long Bay, Vinh Phuc, and more.
