The Tourism Institute of Spain (TurespaƱa) has launched a new media and content campaign, “Legends of Spain”, on National Geographic (NatGeo) media platforms. This new international campaign also includes exquisite content produced for TurespaƱa by National Geographic CreativeWorks which features Asturias, the Basque Country and the center of Spain through its myths, legends and the vast folklore of Spain.
“Legends of Spain” will bring to global audiences the seafaring legends of the Sirens in the Basque Country, the myth of the giant winged snake of Asturias (The “CuĆ©lebre”) and the stories of “The Land of Giants” of Castilla-La Mancha that inspired Cervantes’ Don Quixote.
This campaign is part of TurespaƱa’s branded-content strategyĀ of partnering with the world’s largest and most important publishing brands and content producers, with the aim of generating the most inspirational content, told by the best storytellers in the world, for the global audiences of greatest value for Spain.
The campaign, which consists of 3 articles, 3 videos and a photo gallery, is targeting the main European markets and North America.Ā It will also appear in the world-wide edition of National Geographic magazine, and on the www.nationalgeographic.com website. In addition, the content will be amplified through the social networks of National Geographic, which has more than 230 million followers on Instagram alone, as well as the social networks of TurespaƱa and its partners.
