Emirates has officially opened its Emirates World Store in Bangkok today — a premium, lounge-style space that brings together personalised travel services, branded merchandise, and immersive experiences of Emirates’ signature products. The new store reflects the airline’s long-term commitment to Thailand and the region’s growing premium travel market.
The opening ceremony was officiated by Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, in the presence of His Excellency Obaid bin Taresh Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand and Mr Sorawong Thienthong, Minister of Tourism and Sports of Thailand as well as Emirates’ senior management, trade and media guests.
The Bangkok World Store marks Emirates’ second major investment in Thailand within months, following the THB 175 million (USD 5 million) expansion of its Suvarnabhumi Airport Lounge earlier this year—the airline’s largest airport lounge outside of its Dubai hub. It also coincides with the announcement of a new strategic partnership between Emirates and the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) aimed at driving inbound tourism from Emirates’ global network to Thailand. As part of the agreement, the two organisations will collaborate on marketing and promotional initiatives to highlight Thailand’s appeal as a premier destination.
“The Emirates World Store in Bangkok is another step forward in our journey to get even closer to our customers in Thailand. Bangkok remains one of our strongest gateways in Southeast Asia, and this new concept store offers an elevated and personalised retail experience that brings the spirit of Emirates into the heart of the city. We’re delighted to give our customers a glimpse of our best-in-class products and services, as well as a space to plan their journeys with Emirates,” Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer said.
The new World Store brings Emirates’ signature luxury, travel expertise, and hospitality to the heart of the city’s commercial district. Located at Gaysorn Centre due its premium location and pristine environment, the store features the Emirates A380 Onboard Lounge, offering visitors a first-hand glimpse of the elegance that awaits on Emirates’ flagship aircraft as well as the Premium Economy product which will be deployed on flights EK372/373 between Dubai and Bangkok this July.
Spanning 254 square metres, the open-plan, lounge-style store reflects Emirates’ light and airy onboard design. Emirates’ expert consultants at dedicated customer service counters provide personalised support for flight bookings, ticketing, and general travel enquiries including tailored experiences across the airline’s global network. The store also features interactive kiosks, digital displays to check availability and explore Emirates’ destinations as well as an interactive selfie mirror with scenic backdrops.
Global Expansion of the Emirates World Store Concept
The Bangkok World Store is part of Emirates’ broader retail expansion strategy, building on successful openings in Hong Kong, Manila, Singapore and other cities, setting a new benchmark for travel retail innovation in Southeast Asia. With a planned investment of USD 27 million over the next three years, the airline will open additional Emirates World Stores in key cities around the world to bring an elevated customer experience closer to travellers everywhere.
