Air Canada to increase international network in Summer 2023

Air Canada beginning summer 2023 will expand its international service with new, resumed and expanded routes, the carrier announced.

New European routes beginning June 1 will include Toronto-Brussels, to operate year-round five times weekly; Montreal-Toulouse, France, to operate year-round five times weekly; and Montreal-Copenhagen, to operate for the summer season five times weekly.

In addition, Air Canada will increase its summer services between Toronto and each London Heathrow, Edinburgh, Copenhagen, Barcelona and Madrid, as well as between Montreal and each Frankfurt, Geneva and Nice.

The carrier May 1 also will resume year-round daily service between Toronto and Tokyo-Haneda, and as of June 2 four-times weekly summer service between Vancouver and Osaka. Asian routes with increased frequencies will include Vancouver between each Hong Kong and Seoul, South Korea; between Toronto and Tokyo-Narita; and between Montreal and Tokyo-Narita.

Further, Air Canada will increase frequencies between Toronto and Dubai, Vancouver and Brisbane, Australia, and between Montreal and each Tel Aviv, Algiers and Sāo Paulo, according to the carrier.

The carrier’s route expansion announcement comes on the heels of Canadian regulators lifting the country’s remaining Covid-19-related entry restrictions on October 1.
