Sabre Hospitality to collaborate with WTM London

WTM London confirms Sabre Hospitality as sponsor of their Technology Stage at this year’s World Travel Market; with company President, Scott Wilson, leading a session on how retailing will revolutionize hospitality.

Sabre Hospitality is a leading technology provider for the hospitality industry, powering hotels across nearly 200 countries and territories. Scott Wilson takes the stage on November 4 at 14.30. His session, ‘The Next Wave of Revenue: How Retail Will Change Hospitality’ will give an insight into how to build a successful retail strategy and the implications that this can have on guest satisfaction, revenue, and strategic differentiation from competitors in an evolving industry.

Meanwhile, senior execs from Sabre Hospitality will be available on their stand (TT255) to talk through its product offering for hotels, including its new intelligent retailing platform, SynXis Retail Studio, and intuitive guest service management solution, Nuvola.

Wilson said: “We are delighted to return to WTM this year. As one of the leading events for the travel industry, WTM provides us with the opportunity to connect with global customers and to showcase our latest innovations. In today’s fast-moving market, it is more important than ever to maintain connections with customers, partners and associates, and events such as WTM provide a great platform for us to do this.”

The Sabre-sponsored travel tech stage at this year’s WTM London features A-list speakers from some of the industry’s most important companies, such as Expedia, Thomas Cook, hotelbeds, Accor and Travel Republic. Charlotte Lamp Davies, founder of consultancy A Bright Approach, will be hosting a series of sessions on the Tuesday covering topics including AI and big data, with another panel discussion looking at how travel companies can address the tech talent crisis facing many industries.

Sessions organised by leading media outlets, Travolution and Phocuswire, will look at the trends revealed by their latest respective research projects. The evolution of chatbots and robots will be discussed in a panel hosted by UK’s Travel Technology Initiative.

Hybrid work, blockchain, revenue management and loyalty schemes are also on the agenda.

Elsewhere, Silicon Valley-based innovation platform Plug and Play is hosting a Travel Disruptors Pitch Battle, giving 10 startups the chance to explain to attendees – and the judging panel comprising senior industry figures – how their business will change the industry. The winners will be offered promotion at next year’s WTM and be part of the next Plug and Play cohort, connecting them with corporations, venture capital firms, universities, and government agencies.

Juliette Losardo, WTM London Exhibition Director, said: “Sabre Hospitality is a perfect partner for The Technology Stage at World Travel Market – a global leader in technology, forward-thinking and disruptive. Technology underpins the modern travel sector – as it does with many industries and the Technology Stage at WTM facilitates discussion on the most essential topics emerging from within travel. ‘’
