Finnair to have a record number of flights to Thailand in winter 2026

Finnair will have a record number of 25 weekly flights to Thailand in winter 2026. Finnair flies to Bangkok up to 18 times a week, four flights more than this winter. With up to three daily frequencies, Bangkok is one of Finnair’s long-standing winter favourites, and the additional service has been planned to support customers travelling via Helsinki in particular.

The new daily night flight from Helsinki to Bangkok will arrive in the afternoon, making it easy for customers to continue their journey or start their holiday on the same day. Correspondingly, the return flight departs late in the evening and arrives in Helsinki early in the morning, connecting customers to the first morning flights to Finnair’s vast European network.

Finnair will also bring back direct flights to Krabi in southern Thailand. In winter 2026, there will be two weekly flights from Helsinki to Krabi, on Mondays and Thursdays. Direct flights to Krabi were last operated back in winter season 2019. This popular winter holiday destination is known for its paradise beaches, beautiful scenery and diverse nature activities such as rock climbing and canoeing.

“Thailand is undoubtedly one of our most popular long-haul winter destinations. Up to three daily flights to Bangkok meet the ever-growing demand, and the capacity is significant even by European standards. Krabi offers an alternative for Phuket for those looking for a quieter beach holiday,” says Perttu Jolma, Finnair’s Vice President of Network management.

In addition to Bangkok and Krabi, Finnair flies to Phuket five times a week next winter.
