Amadeus renews Microsoft deal with as cloud transition continues

Amadeus has confirmed the renewal of its global strategic partnership with Microsoft. The deal is designed to leverages cloud and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to drive innovation and explore new products for the travel industry.

Since the initial partnership was announced in 2021, this new milestone marks continued collaboration between Amadeus and Microsoft.

The two companies will further advance on Amadeus’ move to the cloud and accelerate the delivery of innovative travel products. As of now, Amadeus has migrated more than 50 per cent of its applications to the public Cloud, and has been at the forefront of innovation testing and adoption with Microsoft.

Amadeus will continue to work with Microsoft on driving new solutions to market with AI to enhance collaboration, drive operational efficiencies, and create unique experiences.

For corporate travel, Cytric Easy, an online booking and expense management tool embedded in Microsoft Teams, will be further enhanced with the power of Generative AI to create a new engaging conversational experience.

For airports, the introduction of Amadeus Virtual Airport Operations Centre enables a broad range of stakeholders like airlines, airports, border control, and service providers to co-operate in a fully digitalised airport operations centre.

Amadeus has been an early adopter of Microsoft 365 Copilot, with 10,000 licenses deployed across the company, enabling employees to focus on creativity and productivity, with an adoption of 94 per cent, and self-reported average time saved per person of more than an hour and a half per week.
