The 45th edition of FITUR, the International Tourism Trade Fair organized by IFEMA MADRID, was officially inaugurated by Their Majesties the King and Queen of Spain, who were welcomed by José Vicente de los Mozos, President of the Executive Committee of IFEMA MADRID, and a distinguished delegation of ministers, government representatives, and tourism industry leaders from around the world.
This year’s edition sees strong participation from the Middle East, with exhibitors from the UAE, Egypt, Iraq, Iran, Jordan, Oman, Palestine, and Qatar. Notable UAE participants include Arabian Connection Tourism, Atlantis Dubai, Desert Adventures Tourism, and Yalago.
With 9,500 companies, 156 countries, and 884 main exhibitors, including 101 countries with official representation, FITUR 2025 is once again the largest meeting point for the global tourism sector. The event is expected to generate an economic impact of €445 million for Madrid, benefiting sectors such as transportation, hospitality, catering, culture, and entertainment.
FITUR’s expansion is evident with a 10 percent increase in main exhibitors and a 19 percent rise in international participants, reflecting the growing importance of the tourism industry worldwide. The Travel Technology area has also seen significant growth, featuring over 100 companies from across the globe. The event is expected to draw 150,000 professionals and 100,000 general visitors, further solidifying FITUR’s leadership as the world’s premier tourism trade fair.
