Between April 14th and 16th, 2025, Expo Center Norte, in São Paulo, will host WTM Latin America, the largest B2B event in the travel and tourism industry in Latin America. Recognized as an essential platform for business, networking and learning, the fair also stands out for fostering enriching debates and sharing good practices to support the improvement of professionals in the sector.
Within this context, the Teatro Technology and Innovation is consolidated as one of the three thematic spaces dedicated to offering knowledge and stands out for its programming that promises to inspire and provoke fundamental reflections. Curated by Gabriela Otto, the theater schedule will be guided by the central theme of WTM Latin America 2025 “Where Tech Meets Touch” (“Where technology meets touch”, in free translation), exploring the balance between innovation, technology and the humanization in tourism.
After two editions that delved into trends such as the metaverse, in 2023, and artificial intelligence, in 2024, the space turns to debating how humanization should be preserved and highlighted in an increasingly technological world. “The idea is not just to adopt innovations, but to understand how they can strengthen human connections. Interactions in tourism, whether with customers or teams, depend on this essence that will never be lost”, explains the curator.
The program, which traditionally brings together big names from inside and outside the travel industry, promises to maintain its relevance, bringing at least three speakers and major brands during the event. “These meetings not only inform, but also inspire participants to rethink how to apply technology to improve customer service and experience”, reinforces Gabriela.
In a sector so focused on creating memories and awakening emotions, the theme of WTM Latin America 2025 will reverberate among the audience of the Technology and Innovation theater, presenting itself as the true competitive differentiator through rich debates and ideas with the potential to redefine the good practices in this market.
“The motto is to reinforce that technology will not take the place of professionals, but that the future will provide more opportunities for those to know how to use tools in the best way. Tourism, in its essence, is a human experience”, says Gabriela. “Technology encourages contact, which in turn is the basis of travel. People travel to meet, and business happens from that meeting”, adds Bianca Pizzolito, Events Leader at WTM Latin America.
